Hamburger Helper

Ingredients to buy
- ☐1.5 lbsGround beef
- ☐1Onion
- ☐1/2 boxDry noodles
- ☐2 cupsFrozen mixed vegetables
- ☐1 pkgFrozen peas
- ☐1 cupVelveeta
Ingredients you probably have
- ☐Baking soda
- ☐Garlic
- ☐Montreal Steak Seasoning
- ☐Ian's chicken stock concentrate
Equipment needed
- ☐12 inNon-stick skillet
- Chop the onion.
- Cube the velveeta.
- Brown the ground beef in a skillet on medium-high heat.
- Remove the beef, set aside.
- Add the onion to the skillet, fry in the beef fat.
- Sprinkle in 1/4 tsp baking soda and stir into the onions. Fry until onion turns very yellow and mushy.
- Add 1 tbsp garlic, cook for another 2 min.
- Stir in:
- Noodles
- 3 cups Hot water
- 2 tbsp Chicken stock concentrate
- Montreal Steak Seasoning
- Cook for 10 min on medium-high until noodles have absorbed most of the liquid.
- Add in:
- Frozen vegetables
- Frozen peas
- Velveeta
- Simmer for a few minutes, uncovered, until the vegetables are hot and the cheese has melted in.
